In 2019, Quentic was able to increase revenue by 50% and widen its customer base to include over 700 companies throughout Europe. The Berlin-based Software as a Service provider’s platform and mobile app for occupational safety, environmental management and sustainability are used in over 70 countries across the globe. With a total of six new branch offices in five different European countries, the company has significantly increased its presence in the European market over the past year. A venture round garnering a 15 million Euro investment played a major role in the company’s growth last year.

Quentic looks back on a successful business year in 2019. The Berlin-based software provider offers an integrated and practice-oriented solution for occupational safety, environmental management and sustainability, and was proud to serve over 700 customers as of the year’s end. Companies with locations in more than 70 countries around the world have chosen the Quentic Platform and accompanying mobile app to optimize their Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) management and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. The company was able to increase recurring revenue by 50% again this year and met its ambitious goals once again.

Two new companies decide to use Quentic every week

Quentic was able to convince more than 100 new customers from a variety of industries with its modular software solution in 2019. The software appeals to customers with specific needs, as they can pick and choose from the modules Health & Safety, Hazardous Materials, Online Instructions, Legal Compliance, Environment, Sustainability and Processes to create a custom package that meets their exact requirements. The Quentic App extends the platform offering with a mobile reporting channel. “Many customers appreciate the flexibility. Whether they need a specific solution for occupational safety or they want to use our products to streamline their entire EHS process, they can choose for themselves,” notes Markus Becker, CEO of Quentic. “We are thrilled to welcome new clients from all over Europe, the German Krones AG, a component and filling plant producer serving the beverage industry, an international pharmaceutical company based in Denmark, Teknos a global coatings company in Finland, or energy providers and utility companies like Gassco France.”

Quentic is growing in Europe

Quentic is especially focused on pursuing growth in Europe. The 15 million euros investment  received in May 2019 from One Peak Partners and Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital, both of which have been supporting Quentic’s development since 2017, have allowed the company to strongly expand its market position. New branch offices opened in Switzerland, Belgium, Spain, France and Sweden in 2019, with a further office opening in Italy at the start of 2020. Overall, Quentic consultants are now serving customers from 16 locations in 11 European countries.

“Our goal is to become an EHS and CSR software market leader in Europe this year. This is why we are also planning to open further offices in 2020 as well. In connection with this, we are excited to have gained many new engaged employees at our Berlin headquarters and individual branch offices. Quentic was able to boast a count of over 200 employees at the end of 2019, and we aim to add an additional 100 colleagues to our team by the end of the current year,” offered Markus Becker, CEO of Quentic, when asked about the company’s growth plan. This large influx of new colleagues has also led to an expansion of the management team. In 2019, Dr. Björn Schmidt and Dr. Mario Lenz joined the executive team as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Product Officer (CPO), respectively.

A digital leader in EHS management

Quentic has formed a solid basis for internationalization by constantly developing its software and continuing to expand its module offering. “We want to continue to play a role in shaping the digitalization of the occupational safety industry. This is one of our highest priorities,” announced CPO Dr. Mario Lenz. Quentic is one of the leading products in the industry, as acknowledged by the March 2019 Green Quadrant EHS Software Report published by independent market research and consulting firm Verdantix. In October, Quentic’s integrated software platform for EHS and CSR management also won its first Verdantix Smart Innovator Award for Sustainability Management Software.
